Volunteer Appreciation

A special picnic was held at Creve Coeur Lake on Saturday, October 6th, to honor the hard work done by volunteers for the Make-A-Wish Foundation of Missouri.  Ribbons were handed out to volunteers who have at least 5 years of service, and awards were given to volunteers who have done exceptional work for the organization.  Several Macy's employees donated their time to the picnic so the Make-A-Wish volunteers could relax and enjoy the afternoon.  Congratulations to all!

The Make-A-Wish Foundation® of Missouri is a volunteer-driven organization. We appreciate everything our volunteers do from Wish Granting and public speaking, to sitting at a booth or chairing a special event. Each volunteer makes an impact in what they do and in turn they receive personal satisfaction knowing that a child will receive a special wish because of their time. On an ongoing basis, we will be recognizing all Make-A-Wish volunteers in a variety of ways. Some of this include:

• Public service awards
• individual meetings with staff members
• social activities
• on-going education
• Annual volunteer recognition celebration
