OLATHE, KS (February 7, 2017) – Olathe North High School started a brand-new club for students interested in making a difference in the Olathe community. The new club, which has been deemed the “Olathe North Wish Club”, will be partnering with Make-A-Wish® Missouri to help grant wishes to children battling life-threatening medical conditions. The Wish Club has had only a few meetings but has already have identified a wish they’d like to help grant, a local 3-year-old boy battling leukemia, named Will.
The Olathe North Wish Club has it sights set on raising $5,000, to help support wishes just like Will’s wish to go to the beach to swim with sea turtles. Once Olathe North achieves their $5,000 goal, an all-school assembly will be held at Olathe North High School with a special surprise, Will will be in attendance to learn that his wish will be granted.
