St. Louis, MO – September 1, 2016 – Make-A-Wish Missouri announced today that Tony Kreutz, Senior Vice President of Business Development/Corporate Strategies for SCI Engineering, was elected as the new Chairman of the Governing Board. Mr. Kreutz succeeds Donn Sorensen who fulfilled his two-year term, helping to grant over 650 wishes during his tenure.

Kreutz has spent the last three years serving on the Make-A-Wish Missouri Governing Board, most recently serving as the Vice-Chair in 2015 and 2016. Tony began his relationship with Make-A-Wish Missouri in 2006 when he became a volunteer wish granter for the chapter. Since that time, Tony has personally granted seven wishes and assisted the chapter in celebrating over 6,000 wishes since its inception.

“Tony has been a valuable contributor to our chapter’s success and an excellent advocate for our mission. He has been instrumental in bringing the hope, strength and joy to our local children battling life-threatening medical conditions,” said LuAnn Bott, President & CEO of Make-A-Wish Missouri. “We are pleased to have Tony lead our board and to guide us in reaching our vision of granting a wish to every eligible child.”

Kreutz resides in Franklin County, Missouri with his wife Michelle and their two children, Jacob (20) and Kaitlyn (16).

About Make-A-Wish Missouri

Since 1983, Make-A-Wish® Missouri has granted wishes to more than 6,000 children with life-threatening medical conditions to enrich the human experience with hope, strength and joy. This year, the local chapter will grant more than 325 wishes. According to a U.S. study of wish impact, most health professionals surveyed believe a wish-come-true can influence the health of children.
